Mercedes-Benz Executive Wagon (S123) (S123)

The W123 sedan built Mercedes-Benz's reputation for indestructibility — the S123 T-Model extended that virtue to the estate car market, creating a load-carrying legend that served families, taxi fleets, and workshop garages across every continent.

Mercedes-Benz introduced the S123 T-Model in 1977 alongside the W123 sedan and C123 coupé, sharing the same overbuilt chassis, recirculating-ball steering, and range of inline-four and inline-six petrol and diesel engines. The estate body added a flat load floor, a rear-facing third-row jump seat option, and self-levelling rear suspension on heavier variants — features that made the T-Model the default choice for European families who needed space without sacrificing the W123's vault-like build quality.

Produced from 1977 to 1985, the S123 T-Model remains among the most beloved Mercedes-Benz estates ever built — a car whose survival rate and continued daily service are testament to engineering priorities that placed durability above fashion.
