Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé (C190) · AMG GT
The front-mid-engine sports car that defined modern AMG.

Unveiled in 2014, the C190 AMG GT mounted a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 behind the front axle and sent power to the rear wheels through a transaxle layout that optimized weight distribution. The aluminum spaceframe chassis, long bonnet, and fastback tail evoked the 300 SL without pastiche; inside, the rotary drive-mode controller and performance-focused cockpit made the car's intentions clear. AMG variants from the GT to the GT R and GT Black Series expanded the range from grand tourer to track weapon.
The C190 AMG GT Coupé redefined Mercedes-AMG as a sports-car manufacturer in its own right — a dedicated chassis that sits alongside the SL and SLS in the company's performance pantheon and continues to evolve through successive AMG performance grades.
