- 4-door saloon

The W520 is the first battery-electric C-Class and the second Mercedes-Benz on MB.EA: a separate saloon developed alongside the combustion W206, not a replacement for it.
Unveiled in Seoul on 20 April 2026, the launch C 400 4MATIC electric carries the electric GLC’s central ideas into a lower, more driver-focused body. A 94 kWh usable NMC battery, 800-volt architecture and two permanent-magnet motors deliver 360 kW and 800 N·m. The rear motor drives through two ratios, the front axle disconnects at light load, and as much as 300 kW of recuperation means Mercedes-Benz says up to 99 per cent of braking can be handled without the friction brakes.
The result is 592–762 km of WLTP range, a 4.0-second sprint to 100 km/h and charging at up to 330 kW — enough to add 325 km in ten minutes. The 4,883 mm body offers a 470-litre boot and 101-litre frunk, while optional AIRMATIC and 4.5-degree rear steering give it the chassis bandwidth expected of a C-Class. Orders opened in May; series production began at Kecskemét on 13 July for the 2027 model year.

Every model.
One launch designation: the dual-motor C 400 4MATIC electric. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed more rear- and all-wheel-drive versions for 2027 without naming them.
