The last widely offered Mercedes-Benz passenger-car six-speed — ZF hardware for the base four-cylinders.

The 716.7 is a hydraulically actuated six-speed manual (ZF) used from 2014 on base C-Class (W205), E-Class (W213), GLC (X253) and SLC (R172) models. Factory designations split into lighter SG-S301/302 calibrations and stronger SG-S441 through SG-S446 units, covering roughly up to 440 N·m.

It closed out Mercedes-Benz’s stick-shift passenger-car era as dual-clutch and 9G-TRONIC automatics took over almost every market. By the early 2020s most model lines had dropped the third pedal entirely.
