Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan (V295) (V295)

EQE compressed the electric flagship into the size and role of an E-Class without shrinking its technology.

Presented at IAA Mobility in September 2021, V295 was the second sedan on Mercedes-Benz’s dedicated EVA2 architecture. Its 3,120 mm wheelbase is only 90 mm shorter than an EQS, but the body is 270 mm shorter overall and closes with a conventional trunk rather than a liftback. The cab-forward one-bow shape, optional MBUX Hyperscreen, air suspension and rear-axle steering made the relationship obvious. Launch sales opened in March 2022 for the rear-drive EQE 350+ and Mercedes-AMG EQE 43 4MATIC; the range subsequently stretched from the EQE 300 to the 460 kW AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+.

Europe counts the car from its 2022 launch, while North America received it as a 2023 model in EQE 350+, EQE 350 4MATIC, EQE 500 4MATIC and AMG EQE forms. Continuous efficiency and battery revisions raised the current EQE 350+ to 235 kW and as much as 690 km WLTP in 2026 UK literature. Bremen supplies global markets and Beijing builds locally for China. V295 remained in production in 2026 even as Mercedes-Benz began replacing the separate EQ naming strategy elsewhere.
