Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van (W904)

The W904 was the heaviest weight class of the first-generation Sprinter T1N — the top of the 901–904 Baureihe family for operators who needed maximum payload in the original Sprinter architecture.

Covering 408, 411, 413, and 416 CDI model lines, the W904 used the same forward-control platform as its lighter siblings but with chassis and suspension calibrated for the highest gross vehicle weights in the T1N range. Long-wheelbase and high-roof configurations were common.

Produced from 1998 to 2005, the W904 closed out the heaviest tier of the first Sprinter generation — the van that proved Mercedes-Benz could serve the largest commercial customers without leaving the shared T1N platform.
