Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate (S214) (S214)

The S214 keeps the E-Class Estate lower, longer and more useful than an SUV. Its wheelbase grew 22 millimetres to 2,961 millimetres, rear width increased by 25 millimetres, and the 615-litre luggage compartment expands to 1,830 litres beneath a roofline whose drag coefficient starts at 0.26.

Mercedes-Benz presented the Estate in June 2023 and put it on sale with the saloon that September. Every engine is electrified: second-generation 48-volt integrated starter-generators add 17 kW to the mild hybrids, while fourth-generation plug-in hybrids combine a 25.4 kWh battery and 95 kW motor with petrol or diesel power. The MBUX Superscreen, selfie and video camera, native apps and user-created routines make the cabin as much a digital platform as a load carrier.

The range spans four-cylinder E 200 and E 220 d models, long-range E 300 e and E 300 de plug-ins, six-cylinder E 450 and E 450 d variants, and the Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+. That AMG pairs a 330 kW inline-six with a 120 kW transmission-mounted motor for 430 kW system output, while retaining a 460-litre plug-in-hybrid luggage bay and up to 2,100 kilograms of braked towing capacity.
