Mercedes-Benz GLA electric (H244) (H244)

The H244 turns the GLA into an electric-first compact SUV: lower than its predecessor, longer between the axles and capable of travelling up to 657 kilometres on one charge.

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the third-generation GLA in Warsaw on 29 July 2026 and opened German orders the following day. Its 2,790 mm wheelbase is 61 mm longer than the H247’s, yet the roof sits 20 mm lower. The change creates more legroom and headroom in both rows, a 410-litre boot and a 107-litre front trunk. MB.OS runs the car beneath an optional three-display MBUX Superscreen, while the standard panoramic roof and a drag coefficient of 0.27 define the new cabin and silhouette.

At the November market launch, the range comprises the 58 kWh LFP GLA 200 electric, the long-range 85 kWh NMC GLA 250+ electric and the dual-motor GLA 350 4MATIC electric. The 800-volt system accepts up to 320 kW DC and can add as much as 270 km of WLTP range in ten minutes; an optional converter opens 400-volt chargers. A 71 kWh NMC model and separately coded high-tech hybrid versions follow in 2027.
