Mercedes-Benz Sport Roadster · Typ 150
A tiny sports roadster on the rear-engined platform.

The W30 carried the rear-engine philosophy of the smaller Mercedes line into open two-seater form: a compact 1.5-liter four-cylinder mounted aft of the cockpit, independent suspension, and minimal bodywork aimed at light weight and agile handling rather than touring comfort. It was an experiment in sporting proportion as much as in layout.
All five examples date to 1934 in the surviving ledgers. The W30 was never a production program in any ordinary sense — more a brief, audacious statement that rear-engined Mercedes-Benz could wear sports-car clothes.

1 distinct series across 1934 — each identified by its chassis and engine numbers from period factory data.
