Mercedes-Benz Large Van · L 750 / L 1000
Commercial vans on the Stuttgart mechanicals.

The W37 program adapted Mercedes-Benz running gear to light commercial duty: robust four-cylinder engines, ladder-frame chassis, and panel-van or pickup bodies suited to tradesmen, delivery firms, and municipal fleets. The L 750 and L 1000 names reflected payload class rather than glamour, but the engineering underneath was pure Stuttgart.
Production spanned 1929 to 1936, and the archive tables list 2,376 examples on the W37 chassis. They were the unglamorous workhorses that kept Daimler-Benz factories busy between the wars — and kept Mercedes-Benz visible on streets where no Kompressor would ever appear.

1 distinct series across 1929–1936 — each identified by its chassis and engine numbers from period factory data.
