Mercedes-Benz Zetros Truck (BR949) (BR949)

When the terrain turns genuinely hostile, Mercedes-Benz sends the BR949 — the latest Unimog generation engineered for maximum gross weight, extreme articulation, and duties that would stop a conventional truck in its tracks.

The BR949 Unimog represents the current high-capacity branch of the Unimog family, with portal axles, all-wheel drive, and a cab and chassis designed for fire services, disaster response, military logistics, and heavy municipal work. Turbocharged diesel power and modern safety systems sit atop a mechanical layout that remains recognizably Unimog: short overhangs, enormous ground clearance, and a tool-carrier philosophy unchanged since the 1950s.

Built for operators who measure capability in axle articulation and wading depth rather than motorway cruising, the BR949 carries the Unimog name into its seventh decade as the most extreme expression of Mercedes-Benz's off-highway engineering.
