Mercedes-Benz Ultra-Luxury Sedan · Großer Mercedes 770
The Großer Mercedes — eight cylinders and absolute presence.

The Großer Mercedes combined a massive straight-eight with a chassis designed for the heaviest formal bodies: landaulets, pullman saloons and open touring cars built by the finest coachbuilders. Its association with governments, royalty and ceremonial use fixed the model in public memory as the definitive pre-war Mercedes-Benz flagship.
Production spanned 1930 to 1938, and just 117 examples were built. That tiny number reflects the car's ultra-luxury positioning — and ensures that surviving Großer Mercedes remain among the most significant and closely studied chassis in the marque's history.

2 distinct series across 1930–1938 — each identified by its chassis and engine numbers from period factory data.
