Mercedes-Benz 724.0 7G-DCT transmission

Mercedes-Benz’s own seven-speed dual-clutch for transverse front-drive cars.

The 724.0 7G-DCT is a wet dual-clutch seven-speed designed with Getrag for the MFA architecture: A-Class, B-Class, CLA, GLA and related models. Launching in 2011, it combines paddle-shift speed with better efficiency than a torque converter in four-cylinder applications. Calibrations include K7A240 and K7A350 for FWD, K7X350 for 4MATIC and a reinforced K7X400 for AMG models up to about 475 N·m.

It was the mainstream DCT for first-generation MFA compact Mercedes-Benz models, distinct from AMG’s longitudinal Getrag-based 700.4 SPEEDSHIFT DCT. From 2019 the MFA2 generation moved to the eight-speed 8G-DCT (724.1).

Rows are torque calibrations (K7A/K7X) rather than stamped 724.0xx part numbers, which the public parts tables do not fully publish. Chassis credits are omitted at the calibration level because most MFA models used more than one rating over their run.
