The third B-Class stopped treating practicality as a compromise and borrowed the A-Class cabin wholesale, turbine vents and all.
On sale from 2019 on the MFA2 platform, it offers M282 1.3-liter and M260 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol fours and OM654q diesels with 7G-DCT and 8G-DCT transmissions, plus MBUX with the “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant and, unusually for the segment, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC.
Assembled at Rastatt, it remains the practical end of the Mercedes-Benz compact range.
