Mercedes-Benz X-Class Pickup (BR470) · X-Class
Mercedes-Benz enters the pickup segment.

Launched in 2017 on a shared alliance platform, the X-Class offered four-cylinder and V6 diesel models with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, car-like cabin trim, and payload capability aimed at European and Australian buyers who wanted utility without leaving the premium brand. It was a pragmatic product — engineered collaboratively, finished as a Mercedes-Benz.
The X-Class program was short-lived, with production ending in 2020 after modest volumes. The BR470 remains a singular experiment: Mercedes-Benz's only series pickup, and a reminder that not every segment expansion endures.
