Mercedes-Benz Ultra-Luxury LWB (W100)

The W100 600 was Mercedes-Benz's post-war statement of absolute authority — a hand-built limousine and Pullman for heads of state, captains of industry, and anyone who required travel without compromise.

At its heart sat the M100 6.3-liter V8, but the 600's defining engineering was hydraulic: windows, seats, sunroof, and even the bootlid moved on a central oil-pressure system that also powered the adjustable suspension on later cars. Short-wheelbase saloons, four- and six-door Pullmans, and landaulets shared the same over-engineered foundation.

Some 2,676 W100s were built between 1964 and 1981.
