Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV (X294) (X294)

The EQE SUV is the most compact member of the original EVA2 quartet and, in many ways, its most usable.

Revealed in Paris on 16 October 2022, X294 placed the EQE’s dedicated electric hardware beneath a five-door body only 4,863 mm long. Its 3,030 mm wheelbase is shorter than the sedan’s, yet the taller roof and hatch created 520–1,675 liters of luggage space. Rear-wheel-drive 350+ and dual-motor 350 4MATIC and 500 4MATIC versions formed the Mercedes-Benz range, all with 170 kW DC charging, while air suspension, up to 10-degree rear steering and the MBUX Hyperscreen carried over from the larger cars.

Mercedes-AMG launched its first electric SUV on the same night: EQE 43 and EQE 53 4MATIC+ derivatives with AMG motors, chassis calibration and active roll stabilization on the 53. Tuscaloosa began global production in December 2022 beside the EQS SUV, making the US-built car a 2023 model in North America; the AMG arrived there for model year 2024. By the July 2026 production guide, larger 96 kWh batteries and 235/330 kW outputs had lifted the 350+ to 599 km WLTP and the 500 4MATIC to 579 km.

X294 interior
Optional MBUX Hyperscreen, five seats and a flatter floor made X294 the versatile EVA2 cabin.
