Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan (W213) (W213)

Mercedes-Benz billed the W213 as the most intelligent executive saloon ever built, and it arrived with the hardware to argue the case: DRIVE PILOT, Car-to-X communication and remote parking operated from a phone.

Production began at Sindelfingen in February 2016 with OM654 four-cylinder and OM656 six-cylinder diesels, M264 and M274 petrol fours, the electrified M256 straight-six and AMG’s M177 V8, all paired with 9G-TRONIC. Coupé and cabriolet versions used the C238 and A238 codes.

The E 53 4MATIC+ marked AMG’s move to electrified sixes. Production ran to 2023, when the saloon and estate handed over to the W214 and the two-doors to the CLE.
