One coupé replaces two: the CLE merges the C-Class and E-Class two-doors into a single model, ending a split that had run since the 1990s.
In production since October 2023, the C236 offers M254 four-cylinder and M256 six-cylinder mild hybrids, an OM654 diesel and a CLE 300 e plug-in hybrid, all with 9G-TRONIC and, on most versions, 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
It is longer than the C-Class coupé it replaces and closer to the old E-Class Coupé in cabin space, with the AMG CLE 53 topping the range.
