Stretched by 18 centimeters behind the B-pillar relative to the standard W223, the Z223 exists for the two seats at the back.
Revealed in November 2020, it combines a hand-applied two-tone paint option, electrically operated rear doors and executive seats that recline well beyond the normal limit with the M256 mild-hybrid straight-six, the M176 V8 of the S 580 and the M279 twin-turbo V12 of the S 680.
Built alongside the standard car at Factory 56 in Sindelfingen, it heads the Mercedes-Maybach range together with the GLS 600.
